A Beautiful master violin by Auguste Falisse A very beautiful old master violin made by Auguste Falisse - 1911 (Belgium)
A Falisse worked for Silvestre and Maucotel in Paris, then with Mougenot in Brussels.
Influenced by acoustic theories of Dr. Chenantais of Paris.
At a competition in Paris 1912 judged to be superior in tone to a Stradivari.
Lovely authentic instrument - ready to play.- made after a very nice Maggini model.

A beautiful two-piece maple back with beautiful flames, similar ribs and stunning headstock and neck,
original brown/orange oil varnish.

With certificate of authenticity made by Vatelot-Rampal.

The violin produces a warm, big and open tone with plenty of personallity, suited for a professional player.

LOB: ca 359 mm (4/4).
