A beautiful certified Italian violin from the Eugenio Praga school - Genova ca. 1900.
This lovely violin is made after the famous 'il canone' violin of Guarneri, (played by Pagani),
which kind of violin model Eugenio Praga used often as an example, in is later work.
This violin, made after the 'Cannon' 'del Gesù' violin, is an instrument full of personality and passion.
Along with Enrico Rocca, Eugenio Praga was one of the founding fathers of the modern
Genoese school in Italy Praga's pupils include Cesare Candi, who absorbed much of his approach.

This beautiful Italian instrument comes with a professional certificate of authenticity.
A very nice two-piece back; very symmetrical top with interesting arch of this fine Italian violin.

The fine varnish amber/brown coloured varnish is attractively layered.
The sound is warm, well resonant, mature and warm.- suited for the professional violinist.
