A beautiful and very old French viola, made ca. 1775-1780

A two-piece back of fine maple, the beautifull French scroll later. Like many large viola's from that period ,

The work is quite good, a beautiful amber / brown varnish,
and elegant outlines an fine purfling. 

This old viola comes with a new set of strings & certificate of authenticity.

The viola produces a strong open, but warm tone.
