Charles Nicolas Bazin violin bow ca. 1890.ca. 1890.

A beautiful rare French violin bow by Charles Nicolas Bazin. (ivory frog, with decorated stick) The bow is certified by J.F. Raffin in Paris.

This French master bow is made in a very beautifull example of Charles NIcolas Bazin's work.(made ca. 1890).

The elegant and strong stick is made from very beautiful brownish wood and is round shaped. (some colour-oxidation happened)

Very nice ivory frog with pearl eyes and a fine three part s crew.(all original)
A good strong stick, , with great balance and a good feel in the right hand.
The total length of the stick is around 73 cm and the weight of the bow is around 60 gr.
The bow is straight and has a good curve, no cracks or repairs.
The bow is ready to play, with used Mongolian horse hair.
Fine new winding and new dark brown lizard leather grip.
