A good sounding German cello, made in Saxony, most likely in Markneukirchen ca. 1900 - 1920.

The Cello is made from good quality tone woods that were covered with a beautiful original orange-brown coloured varnish.

The table is made of medium grained spruce, the two-piece maple back of large flamed maple.

The cello is fully lined and blocked.

The cello is ready to play , and comes with a set of new strings, new endpin, new prof. tailpiece with 4 adjusters.

A well fitting bridge.

Small repaired sadle crack (see pictures) - no sound post cracks, some surface wear as you may expect from an old used cello.

Length back: ca 76 cm

free string length : ca 69.5 cm

A good sounding cello with a full and strong sound.
