A good sounding German cello, made in Saxony, most likely in Markneukirchen ca. 1900 - 1920.
The Cello is made from good quality tone woods that were covered with a beautiful original orange-brown coloured varnish.

The table is made of medium grained spruce, the two-piece maple back of large flamed maple.
The cello is fully lined and blocked.
The cello is ready to play , and comes with a set of new strings, new endpin, new prof. tailpiece with 4 adjusters.
A well fitting bridge.
Small repaired sadle crack (see pictures) - no sound post cracks, some surface wear as you may expect from an old used cello.

free string length : ca 69.5 cm
