Beautiful violin bow by Alfred Lamy (neveu) - made ca 1920.

A fine silver mounted violin bow made by Alfred Lamy (neveu). certificate Raffin - Paris.
Nephew of Joseph Alfred Lamy, Alfred Lamy died prematurely at the age of 36, but left behind an impressive number of high-quality bows 

The superbe stick is round shaped and made from the best pernambuco wood.
The stick is stamped  'A Voirin fils'.
Alll the parts are original, silver mounted.

Weight : 61 grams. Good condition. new hair.

Alfred Lamy (1886–1922) was a French maker of bows.[1][failed verification]

Son of Joseph Jean Baptiste Lamy was born in MirecourtVosgesFrance. He was apprenticed in Mirecourt with Bazin and later worked for Eugene Cuniot-Hury.

Lamy established his own business around 1919. He was the nephew of Joseph Alfred Lamy known historically as Lamy père. Alfred Lamy left a small quantity of very good quality bows. Branded "A.LAMY" or "ALFRED LAMY".
