A fine old French viola by Laberte-Humbert - Albani - ca. 1910
A beautifull old 4/4 French certified viola made by the famous Laberte-Humbert, ca. 1920, in a beautful Albani model.
Very nice viola, well execited workmanship and a very fine selection of woods.
It has a stunning flamed back, ribs, neck, a very good scroll. It's one of their better works !
The finely executed purfling is a good demonstration of the viola´s good quality and the typical fine
work of the French scholl of violin maling. Beautiful original orange/brown varnish/patina.
The viola comes with a reliable certificate (J. Rampal from Paris- included) - so you can buy with confidence.
This instrument comes with a new set of professional strings and a new chinrest and original tailpiece and is ready to play.
Some minor surface scratches you may expect from an old used viola.
A viola with a strong sound and projection, open but warm timbre.
LOB: ca. 393 mm (4/4).
