A beautifull old 4/4 French Buthod cello made by Jerome Thibouvile Lamy, ca. 1920.
This beautiful cello wears the original Buthod label, and is also braned in the back.
An elegant and light-build instrument made of very fine selected woods :
A stunning 2-piece maple back, flamed ribs, neck, and a well made round and elegant scroll.
Beautiful rich original brown/orange varnish.
The cello comes with a reliable certificate - so you can buy with confidence.
This cello comes with a new set of Larsen/Spyrocore strings, a new bridge + professional tailpiece,
new carbon endpin, and is ready to play.
The sound is very good, as you may expect from this kind of cello - sound sample available on request.
No sound post cracks or repairs, which is quite rare for an old cello.
We also have the original wooden cello-case. and original bridge.
A cello with a living strong warm and open tone.
