Bow maker, known as ‘Morizot père’. Pupil of E. Cuniot and C. N. Bazin in Mirecourt.
Worked for Sartory from 1914. Established independently 1919, at 5 rue St Georges, and joined by his sons from 1920.
The workshop flourished and he became one of the chief exporters of French bows to the American market. From 1933 the
business was known as Louis Morizot & fils. In 1937 and in declining health, he sold out his share of the company,
but continued to work on bows in his retirement. Branded: L.MORIZOT, (two different typefaces).
