A beautiful old certified French violin made by jules Challard - made ca 1910.
Violins of Jules Challard are quite rare.
This beautiful hand-made quality instrument is wearing its original label, and comes with a certificate of authenticity made by Vatelot-Rampal.
The rich dark red varnish is attractively textured ; a very good workmanship .
Very nice choice of woods : fine striped wood pattern at the back, ribs and the scroll, with a fine and elegant inlay.
The sound is big, well projected, mature and warm in character.
New tailpiece and strings included.
